∞	Amerikaanse muzikant, componist en dichter. Hij was de gitarist, zanger en belangrijkste componist van de uiterst invloedrijke The Velvet Underground en had een solo carrière die ruim 50 jaar duurde. Reed’s unieke droge stem, poëtische en grensoverschrijdende teksten, en experimentele gitaarspel waren kenmerkend door zijn hele carrière heen. Reed is twee keer opgenomen in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; als lid van The Velvet Underground in 1996 en als solo artiest in 2015
